MONROE-WEST MONROE – It’s arguably the most alluring aspect of General Tire Heavy Hitters Presented by Bass Pro Shops: One bite can result in a $25,000, $50,000 or even $100,000 Berkley Big Bass bonus. During the Championship Round of Heavy Hitters on Bussey Brake, Bryan Thrift only landed one bass, but it was the right one. To Thrift’s surprise, his 9-pound, 6-ounce largemouth was the biggest bass caught on Saturday, and he added $100,000 to his career earnings because of it.
