KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Andy Morgan struck while the iron was hot during Elimination Round 3 of the the Academy Sports + Outdoors Heritage Cup Presented by Magellan Outdoors, pulling in 19 bass weighing 25 pounds, 10 ounces.
Focusing on shallow drains on the north end of the lake was the key to Morgan’s success. Several of the Tennessee angler’s catches were in rapid-fire succession, bagging three bass between 8:44 a.m. and 8:51 a.m.; and three more between 3:29 p.m. and 3:41 p.m. Morgan finished strong with five bass caught in 30 minutes near the end of the round.
