When the FLW Tour visits Lake St. Clair later this month, there’ll be plenty of bass brought to the weigh-ins, but there’ll also be craft beer, BBQ, live music and more as FLW teams up with the Bass, Brews and BBQ Festival for a weekend of exciting summertime fun at Lake St. Clair Metropark.

Someone will win a six-figure FLW Tour paycheck, the Pennzoil Marine Angler of the Year will be crowned and a good time will be had by all. 

Here are the highlights of an exciting week of tournament and festival activities to come.

 

FLW Tour event presented by Mercury at Lake St. Clair weigh-ins

The tournament will be staged at Lake St. Clair Metropark in Harrison Twp., Mich., June 28-July 1. Weigh-ins will be at 3:15 p.m. ET on days one and two and 4 p.m. ET on days three and four.

The tournament is hosted by the Detroit Sports Commission, Macomb County, Mich., Huron-Clinton Metroparks Authority and Sterling Heights Regional Chamber of Commerce.

FLW Expo

The FLW Expo begins at noon on Saturday and Sunday and runs until 4 p.m. Fans in attendance can meet FLW pros, check out great outdoor products from expo vendors, have their photo taken with the Paw Patrol characters in the Evinrude booth, and enter for a chance to win a Jackson Kayak, Orion Cooler and Bass Pro Shops gift cards.

 

Bass, Brews and BBQ Festival

The three-day Bass, Brews and BBQ Festival kicks off on Friday, June 29 and runs through Sunday, July 1. Festivities begin at noon each day and run until 6:30 on Friday, 7 on Saturday and 6:30 on Sunday. There’ll be craft beer to try, live music, BBQ and other food from local restaurants. Other attractions include tours aboard the Pride of Michigan, which is an 81-foot former U.S. Navy training vessel, a Detroit Institute of Arts educational trailer, Metroparks exhibits and more. The festival is free and open to the public.

FLW Foundation/Get Hooked on Scouting Unified Fishing Derby

The FLW Foundation has teamed up with the Boy Scouts of America to host a free Get Hooked on Scouting Unified Fishing Derby Saturday, June 30 from 9 to 11 a.m. at Lake St. Clair Metropark. The first 500 new Scouts or current Scouts that recruit a friend to join will receive a free Shakespeare rod and reel.
