Image for FantasyFishing.com Insider: Everything you need to know about Oklahoma’s Lake Eufaula

The penultimate event of the Tackle Warehouse Pro Circuit season is right around the corner. That makes the upcoming Stop 5 Presented by K&N Filters on Oklahoma’s Lake Eufaula crucial not only for the anglers vying for the 7 Brew Angler of the Year crown and trying to qualify for the season-ending championship, but also for Phoenix Fantasy Fishing players. The overall winner for the Pro Circuit season earns a massive prize haul from Tackle Warehouse and the chance to fish with Bass Pro Tour pro Justin Lucas.

There’s not a ton of tour-level tournament history on Eufaula, especially in the summer. In fact, this will mark the first ever multi-day tournament in the long history of MLF/FLW on the fishery in June. The field is lacking local anglers, too, so there’s not a long list of obvious lineup locks.

Still, we’ve seined the pertinent past results and compiled a list of everything else you need to know in order to pick a winning team. Make sure you submit your lineups prior to Day 1 on June 5.

Recent history of note

The Oklahoma version of Eufaula has become a more popular player on the national tournament scene in recent years. It hosted a Tackle Warehouse Invitationals event in April of 2023, a Bass Pro Tour event in May 2024 and Bassmaster Opens in both 2023 and 2024.

While this tournament will likely look a bit different than all of those (especially the BPT event, which was contested under flooded conditions), there are a few names in this field who have tasted success on Eufaula in recent years. The one past winner on the fishery is Kelly Jordon. The veteran pro won the Invitationals event thanks to a huge Day 3 bag.

Finishing right behind Jordon at that event was Drew Gill. While Gill is always a no-brainer Fantasy Fishing pick, he should be especially popular for this event. Gill also finished second at the BPT event on Eufaula the following year. Clearly, he jives with the fishery.

Other anglers who, like Gill, have multiple high finishes on Eufaula are Levi Thibodaux and Ty Faber. Thibodaux has a pair of Top-10 finishes on the fishery in Toyota Series competition as well as a third-place showing at a Bassmaster college event last year. Faber finished fifth in the 2024 Toyota Series event on Eufaula and performed well in both Opens there, coming in sixth in 2023 and 12th in 2024.

Only two Okies in the field

There are a surprising lack of Oklahoma anglers in the Pro Circuit field. Only two list Sooner State addresses – and one of those doesn’t really even have an address these days.

Kollin Crawford is the one Oklahoma native who might have a real local edge. He’s fished seven MLF events on Eufaula – easily the most of anyone in the field – and he’s coming off his first win at a recent Phoenix Bass Fishing League on Broken Bow. The other angler who lists Oklahoma as his home state is Kyle Cortiana. While Cortiana lives on the road nowadays, he still has a strong track record in the Sooner State, and his versatile skill set could benefit him in this event, where we might see quite a few anglers mix and match forward-facing sonar offshore with power fishing around shallow cover.

Usual suspects should keep rolling

As of this writing, Eufaula’s water level is right around full pool, and the lake has been quite stable this spring. That should benefit anglers who are adept with forward-facing sonar. You only need to look at the top of the AOY standings to get a list of some of the best with the technology. Banks Shaw and the Nutt twins (Carter and Dylan) are always dangerous, and using forward-facing sonar to target offshore bass in the summer should be right up their alley.

Brody Campbell is another angler who is good everywhere. Currently the last of five anglers that would earn BPT invitations if the season ended today, he should be very motivated to finish strong. The angler right above him in the standings, Connor Jacob, is another intriguing prospect. While a Pro Circuit rookie, Jacob does have a strong track record on Eufaula. He finished third in the 2023 Open and 11th in last year’s Toyota Series event there.

Lastly, if you buy the idea that forward-facing sonar is going to be a significant player, it would be hard not to pick the “Scope GOAT,” Aaron Yavorsky. He’s finished in the top five at three out of four Pro Circuit events this season. The scary part is when he missed, he missed bad, finishing 101st at Wheeler.

Other anglers to consider

Drew Boggs: There’s always a shallow bite to be found in the ample dirty water on Eufaula, and Boggs seems like a strong candidate to capitalize on it. He’s power fished his way to back-to-back Top 10 finishes at Wheeler and Douglas – with a fifth-place showing at a BFL on Center Hill in the middle for good measure.

Marshall Robinson: Eufaula marked Robinson’s one bad event when he won Rookie of the Year and qualified for the Bass Pro Tour in 2023 – he finished 98th. He got revenge on the fishery the next year, though, finishing 14th. Having seen the lake a couple times should help him, and this event could suit his style, as he’s comfortable not targeting huge groups of fish.

Jason Vance: Vance is coming off his best finish of the 2026 season, a 16th-place showing at Douglas. He has some good history on Eufaula, too. When he fished there during his lone BPT season, he led after a fantastic first day before slipping to 12th. He could be a good under-the-radar choice in Flight 2, which isn’t as strong as Flight 1 for this event.

My picks

Flight 1: Kollin Crawford, Ty Faber, Drew Gill, Connor Jacob, Banks Shaw

Flight 2: Kyle Cortiana, Chad Mrazek, Carter Nutt, Marshall Robinson, Levi Thibodaux
