On a day when the bite was slow for many of the REDCREST Presented by Old Wisconsin competitors, Edwin Evers, Jordan Lee and Michael Neal all made the right moves when it matted most. Now, they’re advancing to fish the Knockout Rounds of REDCREST 2021.

Michael Neal made the conclusion of Qualifying Round 2 an exciting one by catching a 3-pounder with less than a minute before his official called “lines out.” After spending the day hovering around the Toro Cut Line, he ended Period 3 in 20th place, knocking Fletcher Shryock into 21st place and out of the competition.

Edwin Evers caught 22 pounds, 4 ounces during the second day of REDCREST competition, which was the highest weight of the day. He moved from 25th place to 8th place, and when he competes in the upcoming Knockout Round, the weights will be zeroed. Evers won the first-ever REDCREST in 2019, and he’s looking forward to defending his title.

The 2020 Angler of the Year, Jordan Lee, started Qualifying Day 2 in 24th place, but it only took three solid catches to move him into the Top 20. Now, he’s fishing the Knockout Round where weights will be zeroed and all competitors have a shot at making the Top 10.
