TORO CUT LINE: Timmy Horton and Matt Lee Make Last-Minute Jumps to Advance at Stage Four

May 17, 2022 • Bass Pro Tour

OSAGE BEACH, Mo. – Calm waters on Lake of the Ozarks were a stark contrast to the volatile day Group A experienced in the fight to stay above the Toro Cut Line during Qualifying Day 2 of Bass Boat Technologies Stage Four Presented by Bass Cat. Over the course of the day, five moved in and five moved out in the race to qualify for the Knockout Round – two of which happened in the final few minutes of Period 3.

With less than 10 minutes left on the clock, Timmy Horton was 2 ounces behind David Walker, and just shy of jumping the Toro Cut Line. Meanwhile, Matt Lee had gradually fallen from ninth place to 1 pound, 7 ounces below the cut line.

Horton made his qualifying-catch with less than 5 minutes to spare and Lee posted back-to-back catches at roughly the same time.
