Reese and Davis Moving on in Historic MLF Event

June 10, 2020 • Bass Pro Tour

KISSIMMEE, Fla. – Two of the original MLF pros and veterans of the sport, Mark Davis and Skeet Reese, dominated in Qualifying Day 4 of the Toyota Heavy Hitters Presented by Venmo.

After a disappointing practice, Reese had two impressive days on the Kissimmee Chain (Qualifying Days 2 and 4), and he held on to his spot at the top of SCORETRACKER®. That means he will automatically advance to the Championship Round on Friday, where he’ll be one of 10 pros who have a shot at the Bass Pro Tour trophy.

Mark Davis didn’t do as well as he would have hoped during his first day of competition, and he started Qualifying Day 4 in 24th place (three bass for 7 pounds, 1 ounce). During the second Qualifying Day, Davis says he stayed in the same spot and used the same bait, but he was able to catch a lot more bass, totaling 37-11, which put him in fourth place at the end of the day. He’ll be back on Lake Toho for the Knockout Round.
