To commemorate Bass Pro Tour angler Skeet Reese’s 2024 induction into the Bass Fishing Hall of Fame, Reese’s reel sponsor, KastKing, presented him with a unique gift before MillerTech Stage Four Presented by REDCON1 at Lake Eufaula launched this week.

KastKing President Al Noraker and CEO Tate Cui flew to Oklahoma to attend the pre-tournament rules meeting, where they presented Reese with a gold-plated KastKing iReel 2 in front of his fellow anglers.

“I’ve never seen a gold reel and this thing is so cool,” Reese said. “And to have KastKing present it to me in front of all my peers at the angler meeting was pretty humbling.”

Reese and Noraker share a longstanding relationship, dating back to the development of Reese’s famous bight-yellow rod lineup that the two built for Wright-McGill.

“Skeet and I go way back, and it was important to me to bring him into the KastKing family a couple of years ago,” Noraker said. “I’m so proud of his accomplishments as an angler and as a friend. I talked with Tate about how to make something extra special for this huge milestone in Skeet’s career, so we came up with the idea of the gold-plated iReel 2.”

The gold-plated reel presented to Reese has all the same features as the new iReel 2 (Bluetooth connectivity for real-time information on casting distances and retrieve speed, etc.). However, the one presented to Reese is one of only two in existence. The second gold-plated reel will be donated to the Bass Fishing Hall of Fame and put up for auction in conjunction with the annual induction banquet this fall.
