Big Fish Stories From Qualifying Day 1 on Lake Eufaula

February 7, 2020 • Bass Pro Tour

The 2020 Bass Pro Tour season is off to a strong start with some big bass hitting SCORETRACKER® during Qualifying Day 1 of the B&W Trailer Hitches Stage One Presented by Power-Pole. The 40 MLF pros in Group A were the first to face the new 2-pound minimum, but the three pros who landed the biggest bass of the day believe that rule change didn’t affect the way they approach Eufaula.

Brandon Coulter landed only three bass, but a 7-pound 14-ounce fish helped him end the day in ninth place, well above the Elimination Line.

Josh Bertrand is currently sitting in second place, thanks in part to a 6-10 that he landed in Period 2.

Anthony Gagliardi landed just four scorable bass, but his largest was a 6-4, and he ended Qualifying Round 1 in sixth place.

After the pros pulled their boats out of the water, we asked them to share the stories behind those big fish.
