B&W Trailer Hitches Adds 4 MLF Pros to their Team for the 2019 Season

In January, 80 Major League Fishing pros will leave home and tow their new boats to Kissimmee, Florida for the first-ever MLF Bass Pro Tour event. Then, just one week later, they’ll be headed to Conroe, Texas for the second Bass Pro Tour event.

That’s a ton of windshield time, and it’s a lifestyle that pro anglers like Alton Jones have grown accustomed to.

Jones, an MLF veteran and one of the Top 10 tournament money-earners of all time, says that making sure your boat arrives safely is one of your biggest concerns when you drive as much as he does.

“Our boats are the most important pieces of equipment that we as bass fisherman tow, so you want to make it secure,” Jones said.

That’s why Jones is excited that he’s one of four MLF pros who will start the year representing a new sponsor: B&W Trailer Hitches. The Kansas-based company has been a sponsor of MLF for years. After the announcement of MLF’s major expansion and the creation of the MLF Bass Pro Tour, B&W Trailer Hitches Marketing Manager Beth Barlow says the company decided to add Jones, Mark Davis, Todd Faircloth and Russ Lane to their team for the 2019 season.

“The sponsorship of these MLF pros represents B&W’s first venture into angler sponsorship,” Barlow said. “We’re certain Alton, Russ, Mark, and Todd will do a great job of representing us during this inaugural year and we’re honored to have them on our team.”

Jones says that he couldn’t get his new B&W hitch on his truck fast enough when it arrived in the mail. He says it’ll put his mind at ease while he’s towing his boat all over the country.

“There’s not a more heavy-duty hitch in the world than a B&W trailer hitch,” said Jones.

When you’re watching the MLF NOW! live stream on MajorLeagueFishing.com in January, you’ll see Jones’ B&W Trailer Hitch boat wrap. Jones says he can’t wait to show it off at the inaugural Bass Pro Tour event Jan. 29- Feb. 3.

“I always love fishing Florida in the spring,” Jones said. “It’s a time of year that I have typically excelled in. Any cast you make when you go to a historic place like the Kissimmee Chain could be a 10-pounder or a 12-pounder, or a bass of a lifetime.”

Barlow says she’s looking forward to cheering on the new B&W Trailer Hitches team of MLF pros.

“We are so excited about the new tour and the talented anglers that were added to the lineup in the process,” Barlow said.

Russ Lane says he’s looking forward to representing the brand. Lane said B&W Trailer Hitches make towing easier with quick stowing options and multiple ball sizes.

“They’ve solved many problems with towing over the years through ingenuity and a made in America workforce,” Lane said. “Sometimes you can just look at a product and know that it is well built which is obvious when you see a B&W hitch.”
