COLUMBIA, S.C. – Louisiana pro Cliff Crochet is willing to admit that he was concerned about zeroing on Lake Murray after a dismal practice at Fox Rent A Car Stage Three Presented by Mercury. But the opposite happened. He finished Group B’s Qualifying Round at the top of SCORETRACKER® after catching a two-day total of 41 pounds, 15 ounces. His five-fish limit on the second day tallied 22-9, which was the biggest bag of Group B’s Qualifying Day 2.
Now, Crochet will face the best of Group A and Group B in the Knockout Round, where all pros’ weights will start at zero and they’ll compete for a Top-10 spot in the Championship Round.
