TYLER, Texas – Tennessee pro Ott DeFoe continued his exemplary performance in the state of Texas on the third day of General Tire Heavy Hitters Presented by Bass Pro Shops. DeFoe claimed the Group A Qualifying Round Monday and an automatic berth in Thursday’s Championship Round on Lake Palestine.
DeFoe – who has claimed a handful of wins in the Lone Star State in the past three years – put seven fish on SCORETRACKER® for 21 pounds, 7 ounces on Monday, bringing his two-day total to 57-0 (nearly 15 pounds more than Takahiro Omori in second place).
Kentucky pro Bradley Roy claimed a $25,000 bonus for the big fish of the group with the 6-9 he caught during Group A’s first competition day.
