CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Major League Fishing (MLF) and the Charlotte Regional Visitors Authority (CRVA) hosted a press conference on Thursday, Jan. 26, to introduce Charlotte to REDCREST IV competitors Casey Ashley, Andy Montgomery and Bryan Thrift. MLF executives Boyd Duckett and Michael Mulone, along with local dignitaries, including Charlotte Mayor Pro Tem Braxton Winston, Charlotte City Council member Dante Anderson, Cornelius Mayor Woody Washam and Tom Murray, CEO of the CRVA, previewed the upcoming MLF Championship, REDCREST IV on Lake Norman, and the General Tire Outdoor Sports Expo held in conjunction with the tournament, March 10-12, at The Park Expo and Conference Center in Charlotte.

Hosted by the CRVA, Visit Lake Norman and the Mecklenburg County Park & Recreation Department, REDCREST IV will feature the top 40 anglers from the Bass Pro Tour competing on Lake Norman for the REDCREST Championship trophy and a top prize of $300,000.

The MLF General Tire Outdoor Sports Expo will be held March 10-12 at The Park Expo & Conference Center in Charlotte in conjunction with the tournament, and will feature hundreds of exhibitors and activities, providing outdoor enthusiasts the opportunity to visit booths and vendors showcasing the latest and greatest in fishing, boating, hunting, camping and more. The biggest names in the outdoor industry will be on hand, including the professional anglers that compete on the MLF Bass Pro Tour. Thousands of visitors from around the globe will watch the world’s best bass-fishing action live, while also receiving great deals on crankbaits, rods and reels, bass boats and much more at the outdoor show.
