JEFFERSON COUNTY, Tenn. – Saturday was all about strategizing on Douglas Lake as anglers laid out the foundation for the first Qualifying Round of U.S. Air Force Stage Two Presented by Power-Pole.
Figuring out where to fish and how hard to hit locations can make or break an angler’s chance at advancing to the Knockout Round since Saturday’s totals carry over into Group A’s second Qualifying Round on Monday. Going too hard could tap out honey hole, but holding back too much could mean a spot below the Toro Cut Line on Monday.
Here’s a look at how some of Group A walked that narrow path.
Stage Two consists of two lakes; Douglas Lake for the Qualifying Round and then Cherokee Lake for the Knockout Round and Championship Round. Fans and anglers alike can watch all of the Stage Two action on the MLFNOW! live stream at MajorLeagueFishing.com, the free MLF app or MyOutdoorTV.com daily through March 23 starting at 8:45 a.m. ET.
