ONAMIA, Minn. – Dustin Connell found himself tangled in a three-way race for the trophy at the Championship Round of Bally Bet Stage Seven Presented by Minn Kota as he, Micheal Neal and David Walker were all within a single catch of each other and had a massive lead over the rest of the anglers on Mille Lacs.
Reeling in a 2-pound, 1-ounce smallmouth with less than 10 minutes on the clock boosted Connell to the No. 1 position where he remained until lines out with 20 bass weighing 82 pounds, 8 ounces for a 4-ounce lead to claim the final trophy of the 2022 Bass Pro Tour.
