MONROE-WEST MONROE, La. – The winner’s circle of Heavy Hitters is basically a Jones Family Reunion at this point as Alton Jones won in 2020, then Alton Jones Jr. won the biggest bass in 2022 and now he’s won the event outright for 2023. Their family, friends and fans rallied at Bussey Brake to congratulate Jones Jr. on his astounding win at at General Tire Heavy Hitters Presented by Bass Pro Shops.

Jones Jr. won by a margin of 59 pounds and caught nearly as many total bass as the rest of the anglers combined with 19 bass weighing 81 pounds, 15 ounces. For his win, Jones earns the coveted Heavy Hitters trophy belt, as well as the $100,000 grand prize.
