GALLERY: Knockout Round brings optimism as MLF pros take on Cherokee Lake

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Tenn. – After four days of fishing on Douglas Lake in East Tennessee, the top pros from Group A and Group B met on a new playing field, Cherokee Lake. Located roughly 20 miles north of Douglas, Cherokee is rumored to have larger bass and a larger population of smallmouth.

The pros of the U.S. Air Force Stage Two Presented by Power-Pole Knockout Round will have to throw out what they learned on Douglas Lake during the Qualifying Round and go into the day with a different mindset. Several of the pros admitted that they didn’t spend any practice days on Cherokee. Douglas Lake was fishing so tough, forcing many pros to spend all of their practice time figuring out the first competition lake.
