GALLERY: Knockout Up North

While 40 MLF pros competing for a place in Sunday’s Championship Round, these five anglers have separated themselves from the pack. Edwin Evers, Jacob Wheeler, Alton Jones, Takahiro Omori and Jeff Sprague raced to the north end of Falls Lake at the being of the Knockout Round. Being a shallow, secluded area has created a sweet spot for spawning bass, which has yielded fish after fish for these anglers. At the end of the second period, Wheeler leads with 34-7, with Jones, Evers and Sprague holding 4th, 5th and 6th respectively.
