Groups Announced for Stage One of 2020 Bass Pro Tour

Less than three weeks separates us from the beginning of the B&W Trailer Hitches Stage One Presented by Power-Pole 2020, the kickoff to the 2020 MLF Bass Pro Tour season. Feb. 7-12, the 80-angler field will compete on historic Lake Eufaula, Alabama for the first event of the 2020 eight-event regular season.

The field has been divided into two competition groups of 40 (Group A and Group B) to begin competition. The initial groupings are based on final standings from the 2019 Bass Pro Tour season, with 2019 Points Champion Edwin Evers fishing in Group B and second-place points finisher Jeff Sprague leading off in Group A.

MLF newcomers Bryan Thrift and David Dudley were assigned their groups based on a random drawing. The groups are:

Stage One begins with Group A competing in Qualifying Round Day 1 on Feb. 7 on Eufaula. Group B will start Stage One on Feb. 8 with Qualifying Round Day 2.
