A quiet morning gave way to a turbulent third period as SCORETRACKER® lit up with a new leader five times before ultimately settling on Ott DeFoe with four bass weighing 16 pounds, 6 ounces.
DeFoe wasn’t the only angler to celebrate on Thursday as Alton Jones Jr. scored another Berkley Big Bass award in addition to the one he earned in the Knockout Round. Jones scored $50,000 on Wednesday with an 8-3, and followed it up on Thursday with a 6-4 for $100,000 – making the Texas angler $150,000 richer in just two days of fishing.
