Stephen Browning was gold with 16 bass weighing 51 pounds, 4 ounces – nearly as much as the No. 2 and No. 3 anglers’ totals combined. Browning is likely guaranteed a spot in the Knockout Round based on just Qualifying Day 1’s catch, but he’s not the only one celebrating as Brent Ehrler caught the biggest bass of the day, and of the tournament so far, with an 8-pound, 5-ounce “tank.”
Group B will continue their race for the Knockout Round on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Group A will finish their Qualifying Round on Monday.
