Bryan Thrift set Caney Creek Reservoir on fire, catching five bass weighing 25 pounds, 11 ounces for a two-day total of 11 bass weighing 55-13. Thrift led the pack by more than 7 pounds, granting him the win for Group A and an automatic berth to the Championship Round. Meanwhile, Dakota Ebare had reason to celebrate as well, having won the $25,000 big bass bonus with a 9-6 he caught during Period 3.
