Dustin Connell started the morning in first place and stayed there throughout the day, ultimately extending his total to 40 bass weighing 121 pounds, 7 ounces – a solid 10 bass and 21-5 ahead of second-place angler Matt Becker. Meanwhile, it was a fight to the finish for who would claim the coveted 10th-place position and qualify for the Knockout Round. Jesse Wiggins nailed two scorable bass in the final 15 minutes of Period 3 to make the cut with 23 bass weighing 70-10.
