QUITMAN, Texas – The Toro Cut Line was drawn at 13 bass weighing 38 pounds, 11 ounces, by Greg Vinson who narrowly finished 20th during Group B’s Qualifying Day 2 of the Toro Stage Two Presented by Grundéns on the Bass Pro Tour.

At the top of the chart was a familiar face, Alton Jones. Jones had such a strong start during Qualifying Day 1 that a slower Qualifying Day 2 didn’t faze the Texas angler. Jones entered Qualifying Day 2 with a nearly 15-pound lead over Dakota Ebare after catching 18 bass weighing 80-7. On Tuesday, Jones caught 10 bass weighing 36-10, and nobody could catch him on SCORETRACKER® as he finished with a two-day total of 117 -1. The closest anyone came to Jones’ haul was Ebare with 24 bass weighing 92-11.

Jones will advance straight to the Championship Round on Thursday, joining Group A winner Jacob Wheeler. Meanwhile, the Top 38 anglers from Groups A and B will duke it out in the Knockout Round tomorrow. Fans can keep up with the competition from 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. CT. MLF NOW!®  will be live-streamed on MajorLeagueFishing.com and MyOutdoorTV.com
