March 27, 2019 • Bass Pro Tour

It was a day that several of the Major League Fishing pros said they will never forget.

We caught up with some of the pros who ended the day at the top of the SCORETRACKER after Shotgun Round 1 of the Favorite Fishing Stage Three Presented by Evinrude, which took place on Jordan Lake, near Raleigh, N.C. Tuesday.

Kelly Jordon ended the day in first place, setting the record for the highest single-day weight caught during a Bass Pro Tour competition with 82 pounds, 4 ounces.

While the number of big bass caught on Jordan was impressive, Todd Faircloth landed the largest bass of the day: a 9-4. He ended the Shotgun Round in second place with 63-10.

Jacob Wheeler ended the day in third place. He caught 14 bass for a total of 54 pounds, 5 ounces. Mark Daniels is in fourth place, with 52 pounds, 1 ounce. He caught only 12 bass, and had an impressive average weight: 4 pounds, 5 ounces.

On Wednesday, another group of 40 MLF pros (Group B) will compete on Jordan Lake for Shotgun Round 2. Then on Thursday, Group A will be competing in Elimination Round 1, but they will be on a different body of water: Falls Lake.
