During the Bass Pro Tour Favorite Fishing Stage Three Presented by Evinrude, some Major League Fishing pros spent a day teaching kids in the Raleigh, North Carolina area the basics of fishing. MLF partnered with Pond Hopper Nation to put on the event at Lake Crabtree County Park, and thanks to Bass Pro Shops, Berkley and Favorite Fishing, over 100 kids received a free rod and reel.
MLF pro Roy Hawk helps coordinate Pond Hopper Nation events all over the country, and he says they have plans to host a “Teach a Child to Fish Day” event at many of the Bass Pro Tour Stages.
