REDCREST 2021 Leaders Set Their Sights on Knockout Rounds

February 23, 2021 • Bass Pro Tour

Just as many of the REDCREST 2021 Presented by Old Wisconsin qualifiers predicted, Bryan Thrift is dominating on Lake Eufaula. Thrift weighed 45 pounds of scorable bass during Qualifying Round 1 and ended the day on top of SCORETRACKER®. Now he’ll carry his 13-pound, 14-ounce lead over to Qualifying Day 2 on Tuesday. Thrift finished second in the Bass Pro Tour Stage One on Eufaula in 2020, and he’s hoping to follow that up with a REDCREST 2021 win.

In second place, behind Thrift, is Ott DeFoe with 31-02. Looking at the 2020 Stage One results, DeFoe finished in third place and he’s also fighting hard to earn a win during this visit to Eufaula, Alabama. He says he relied on what he learned about the lake last year, since the MLF pros were only allowed one day of practice before this event.

Stephen Browning is sitting in third place going into Qualifying Day 2. With 26-04, he’s more than 18 pounds behind first-place Bryan Thrift. However, he’s in great shape to make the Top 20 cut on Tuesday and weights will be zeroed for the Knockout Rounds.

Here’s a breakdown of how this championship event will progress over the course of the week:
