CHARLOTTE, N.C. – If you ask a handful of the MLF pros who qualified for REDCREST 2023 Presented by Shore Lunch, “Who’s the one to beat?” Most of them would agree that Bryan Thrift and Andy Montgomery are going to be strong contenders in the Bass Pro Tour championship on Lake Norman.
Both Montgomery and Thrift grew up fishing on Lake Norman, and they even competed as a team on that lake before going pro. We asked them about what it means to qualify for this championship event, and which tactics will be in play on Lake Norman during the competition, March 8-12.
