Tim Horton Qualifies for Third-Straight Knockout Round

August 10, 2022 • Bass Pro Tour

UNION SPRINGS, N.Y. – Several months after announcing his intention to retire, Tim Horton is making the most out of his final season on the Bass Pro Tour. He has made the cut at the last three Stages, qualifying for the Knockout Round on Lake of the Ozarks, Watts Bar and Cayuga Lake.

At the Fox Rent a Car Stage Six Presented by Googan Baits, Horton found himself on the wrong side of the Toro Cut Line with less than an hour left in the Qualifying Round. However, two key catches positioned him in 20th place just in time for lines out. After coming off of Cayuga Lake on Tuesday, Horton explained why finishing in 20th place can sometimes feel like a win, thanks to the unique Bass Pro Tour format.
