For much of the Championship Round, it looked like Mark Daniels, Jr. would win the General Tire Stage Three Presented by TrueTimber. But in the third period, Ott DeFoe found a school of fish and was unstoppable. He won Stage Three with 69 pounds, 12 ounces, which is more than a 28-pound lead over second place.
Alton Jones, Jr. managed to work his way up to second place late in the third period, ending the Championship Round with 41-09.
Daniels ended the day in third place with 39-02, and Brent Chapman came in fourth with 37-13. We spoke with the top four pros of Stage Three when they came off Lake Athens on Wednesday.
