VanDam, Jones, Lane call for Stage Six smallmouth slugfest on Lake St. Clair

Mercury Pro Team anglers expect fast action when Bass Pro Tour hits St. Clair
June 21, 2023 • Bass Pro Tour

HARRISON TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Smallmouth have had a big impact on the 2023 Bass Pro Tour season so far, and General Tire Stage Six at Lake St. Clair Presented by John Deere Utility Vehicles is set to be a “smallmouth slugfest” according to Michigan pro Jonathon VanDam.

Another factor at play is that Stage Six coincides with opening day for Canadian and Michigan anglers, and is much earlier in the year than the last time the BPT hit St. Clair for Stage Seven on Sept. 10-15, 2021.

Mercury pro VanDam is joined by Alton Jones Jr. and Chris Lane as they discuss the fishery and speculate on what they think will happen on June 24-29. Fans can catch all of the action live on the MLFNOW! livestream each day from 7:45 a.m. ET to 4:30 p.m. on MajorLeagueFishing.com and the MyOutdoorTV (MOTV) app.
