TULSA, Okla. – Major League Fishing (MLF), the world’s largest tournament-fishing organization, has announced a sponsorship agreement with Old Wisconsin Sausage, a leading provider of premium, hand-crafted, naturally-smoked meat snacks for the 2021 season. The agreement marks the first time that Old Wisconsin Sausage will enter into the fishing and outdoors realm and market to the loyal MLF consumer base.
“When the opportunity arose for us to collaborate with Major League Fishing to become the presenting sponsor of the REDCREST Tournament, we jumped on it immediately,” said Tom Buddig, Executive Vice President of Old Wisconsin. “Expanding the Old Wisconsin Sausage consumer marketing efforts to grow brand awareness and product sales, while strengthening its relationships with retail partners, has been a No. 1 priority for the company. As part of the agreement, the Sheboygan, Wisconsin-based company will receive exposure through multiple MLF outlets, including the MLF website and social media communities, as well as the presenting sponsorship of REDCREST 2021, the Bass Pro Tour Championship, scheduled for Feb. 22-26 at Lake Palestine in Flint, Texas. Old Wisconsin Sausage will also run a sweepstakes contest in 2021 with the top prize being a day on the water fishing with MLF pro angler Edwin Evers.
