KISSIMMEE, Fla. — Anglers, tackle manufacturers and media members have all converged in Central Florida this week for ICAST. But before the annual new product extravaganza gets underway, MLF of course had to hold a bass fishing tournament – the annual ICAST Cup.
Representing Team Lithium Battery Power, Dylan Quilatan, Don Mitchell and Diane Cobbs dominated the half-day shootout on Lake Toho. Competing under the every-fish-counts format using BUBBA’s new SCORETRACKER® LIVE leaderboard, Team Lithium Battery Power stacked up a gaudy 96 pounds, 8 ounces on 18 scorable bass, which topped the runner-up Don Coffey Company squad (Aaron Yavorsky and Ray Ruiz) by more than 55 pounds.
Today’s accomplishment continues a stellar run in Florida for Quilatan, who moved from New York City to chase his fishing dream. It’s his fifth total MLF victory and fourth in the past 17 months.
