The top-10 pros in the Costa FLW Series Southeastern event were dealing with pesky northeast winds again on the final morning of competition. Most were hoping for the winds to subside so they could get on areas that have not been fishable for the whole tournament, but the clock is running out for that opportunity.

While other pro’s patterns and areas are eroding, Buddy Gross’ primary area in Spring Creek delivered again this morning to the tune of four bass for about 14 to 15 pounds. By noon Gross was still lacking his limit fish, but should he secure one more solid keeper by check in time, he’ll be hard to beat.

Clint Brown was still fishless at 10 am, but he was starting to get into some of his sight-fishing areas and settle in. In one of his areas, he saw a couple of nice ones on beds that were, “not quite ready yet.” If they get anywhere near ready, Brown will be giving them a ride to Bainbridge in his livewell. The afternoon has been when Brown does most of his damage.

Other catches to report: Chad Prough and Bryan Thrift each had one before 10 am. Bradford Beavers had good morning, sacking up four keepers pretty quickly. Matt Baty and Randy Haynes had both retreated to a wind protected area in the Chattahoochee River. Baty had three keepers and Haynes had one keeper.

It should be an interesting weigh-in so make sure to tune in at 4 p.m. ET to watch all of the action as we crown both a pro and co-angler champion.
