As of today, registration is open for all the events in the 2025 Abu Garcia College Fishing Presented by YETI season. The 2025 schedule consists of six qualifying tournaments around the country, highlighted by the Abu Garcia College Fishing Presented by YETI National Championship on Wheeler Lake in Decatur, Alabama. The top 15% of teams from each event will advance to the 2026 College Fishing National Championship.
The upcoming schedule is a good one, with stops on historic tournament fisheries and lakes that are currently producing top-tier fishing.

March 7 | Grand Lake | Grove, Okla. |
March 28 | Kentucky-Barkley Lake | Gilbertsville, Ky. |
April 9-11 | National Championship at Wheeler Lake | Decatur, Ala. |
Sept. 14 | Potomac River | Marbury, Md. |
Oct. 3 | Pickwick Lake | Florence, Ala. |
Oct. 24 | Lake Hartwell | Anderson, S.C. |
Of course, the National Championship is the highlight of the season, and the only way to be there in 2026 is to fish in 2025. This year, the winning team at the National Championship receives $43,500, including a $33,500 Phoenix 518 Pro powered by a 115 HP outboard and $10,000. Second place at the natty also takes home a boat, and both the first and second-place teams qualify for the Toyota Series Championship as boaters.
The Toyota Series Championship serves as a fish-off for the winning team, and the best finisher there will qualify for REDCREST to fish for $300,000 against the pros. The first year, in 2023, Dalton Head came out on top at the Toyota Series Championship and crushed in REDCREST. Braylon Eggerding qualified for REDCREST 2025, which is at Guntersville this spring.
From a yearlong perspective, the Tackle Warehouse School of the Year goes to the top school in the country, and the title has been hotly contested since its inception. In 2024, the University of Montevallo got back on top, but there are sure to be new contenders in the year ahead.
Registration for the 2025 season opens at 8 a.m. CDT on Dec. 9, 2024. Fields are capped at 250 boats per tournament, so teams are encouraged to enter at their earliest opportunity. Teams can register at MajorLeagueFishing.com or by calling 270.252.1000. The entry fee is unchanged at $100 per team.
