The Major League Fishing Fisheries Management Division in partnership with Berkley Labs completed a Costa Clean Water Matters shoreline clean up supported by SeaArk Boats on Wednesday June 15 at the Osborne Landing marina on the James River.
MLF FMD directors Steven Bardin and Gary Klein were joined by Tackle Warehouse Pro Circuit anglers Miles Burghoff, Randy Despino, Takayuki Koike, Terry Luedtke, Jimmy Reese and Skeet Reese as well as MLF Marketing Promotions Manager Scott Ellison. In addition to these volunteers, SeaArk provided their Correct Craft Lake Cleanup boat that removes floating debris through a surface suction device. The SeaArk boat cleaned four total miles of James River while shoreline volunteers covered the rip rap around the marina, walking trails, a play ground, and parking lots of the Osborne Landing.
The next Costa Clean Water Matters shoreline clean up will take place on Lake Champlain at the final stop of the Tackle Warehouse Pro Circuit.
