Registration begins Jan. 2, 2001
Operation Bass today announced the Wal-Mart Bass Fishing League (BFL) schedule for 2001. The BFL, previously known as the Red Man Tournament Trail, starts the season on Feb. 3 with a Gator Division tournament on Lake Okeechobee.
Registration for the 2001 season begins on Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2001, at 8 a.m. CST. Anglers may register online, by telephone, fax, or via the U.S. Postal Service. A boater who enters by the priority entry deadline (PD) and provides a co-angler (who also enters by the PD) will receive entry priority and, if accepted into the tournament, will be drawn with a co-angler. Co-anglers who enter by the PD with a boater (who also enters by the PD) will receive entry priority. All others will be taken in order of entry (first-come, first-served). Each tournament will be limited to a total field of 400 contestants (unless state law mandates a smaller number of contestants). Entries received after the field has filled will be placed on a waiting list. Complete rules and regulations will be posted to this Web site in the near future.
