Monday, Lake St. Clair, Michigan
Dan writes:
The wind blew so hard again today that it was impossible to fish any main lake humps or anything at all on the east side of the lake, so I spent most of my day up in Anchor Bay. This area seems to hold as much vegetation as anywhere on the lake right now, and Dick told me that he had caught around eight keepers up the northwest corner yesterday, so that is where I concentrated. Because of the wind it was difficult to see into the water, but in some areas here I believe there are still lots of fish on beds. I didn’t get the sheer number of bites up here that I had yesterday, but I did catch some bigger fish today, including one smallmouth of about four-and-a-half pounds.
Annie writes:
The plan for today was for Dan to go fishing and I would move the camper up to the campground and meet him there tonight. This worked out good. I left the launch ramp and ran a few errands before arriving at Algonac State Park mid-day. I hooked up the camper, got things organized, and some business work done. We leave to drive home on Saturday and things are going to be so crazy then, with moving into our new house, and, seeing our families, that I need to get as much as possible done now.
Dan did not arrive until 9:00pm, we ate dinner and did not go to bed until around 11pm. I told Dan not to set the alarm to early because he needed to get some sleep.
