Home in New Hampshire
Dan writes:
So far this summer we have endured, along with much of the rest of the country, some of the hottest temperatures ever recorded. There are things we would like to have done during this time but simply couldn’t because of the heat. There is no air conditioning in the new house, nor even a fan, and when we went out to purchase fans the stores were all sold out. When the heat wave finally did break we were able to start a more normal existence, and here is a summary of what all went on since then:
· Kate & Dan played tennis
· Chris & Dan played tennis
· Annie continued working in her college English course
· Jeff & Dan completed a hunter safety course over the weekend
· Annie, Chris & Kate went to the lake house while Dan & Jeff were occupied
· Chris started double-sessions of practice with the high school football team
· We all celebrated Annie’s birthday with presents and a cake
· The two of us celebrated our four-year anniversary with a card and a kiss
