Arrive Lake Erie, Sandusky, Ohio

The night was indeed long and since I did not get much sleep the night before, it was difficult. We switched drivers often, but had to stop twice and nap in the truck, as neither one of us could make it more than thirty miles at a time. The naps helped and we continued onward, arriving in Sandusky around 2pm. We figured we could find a campground and get organized by early afternoon. We were wrong, either the campgrounds were not tent friendly, or they would take the tent, but not the dog. There were many more campgrounds out on the islands, but we were not about to ferry over every day. We made some calls, until our phones died from not being charged last night, then just drove from one campground to the next looking for a site. We finally found one around 6pm, and it going to be great. There is plenty of room for the dog, we have a fairly large site, and there is no one on the sites next to us, so Cooper can roam a bit. All this for $15.00 a night. This makes it even more appealing.
