Dan writes:
The wind today blew from the south at about 20 knots. Every place I want to fish is way up north, across twenty miles of open water. I didn’t go out at all, but rather just stayed in, hoping that the wind would lay down some for tomorrow.
Annie writes:
The wind was terrible today, and in fact almost blew our screen house away, before we staked it down. Dan spent the day piddling around in camp; we had a nice afternoon, and a huge dinner. We are realizing though that our dinners will have to be simpler as the weather gets colder. We do not want to be doing lots of dishes in the cold air, under the cold water.
We went in the tent around 7:30; reading until 9:00 and then listening to President Bush address the nation.
