Do you have an amazing fishing story? A whopper of a fishing yarn you’ve told so many times that uttering just the first word of the story sends your family and friends scurrying for rod and reel. A tale about the “big one” that got away so incredible that many consider it beyond belief. A story so astounding that it’s already attained legendary status.
Now’s your chance to expand your audience and tell your most amazing fishing story to the entire world via FLWTour.com. All you need to do is e-mail us your most remarkable fishing story and a related photo, if you have one. Please keep your astonishing fishing story brief, 500 words or less. The deadline for submitting your mind-boggling fishing story is Friday, November 30, 2001.

Submissions selected by our panel of judges will be published in the Bass Fishing E-Zine section of FLWTour.com beginning the week of December 17. Stories will be judged on creativity, adherence to the theme and grammar.
Participation is easy
Your submission must be an original, previously unpublished fishing story. E-mail your submission to [email protected] by Friday, November 30, 2001. Type “Amazing Fishing Story” in the subject line of your e-mail. If you’re like most anglers you don’t have just one amazing fishing story, you have dozens, but please, send only one amazing fishing story per submission. For consideration, your submission must include the following information at the top of the page before your story:
· Name
· Date of birth
· Mailing address
· Day telephone number
· E-mail address
Entrants between 13 and 18 years of age also must include the name and e-mail address of their parent or legal guardian.
If you have an appropriate photo to accompany your story, attach a jpeg or gif file of the photo with your submission.
Official Rules
1. ELIGIBILITY: Open to legal U.S. residents who are 13 years of age or older at the time of entry. Employees of Operation Bass, Inc., Jacobs Managment Company, Jacobs Interactive, their respective subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies, and members of the immediate families and persons living in the same household of such employees are not eligible. Void where prohibited.
2. TO ENTER: In 500 words or less, describe your most amazing fishing story. E-mail your submission to [email protected], with Amazing Fishing Story in the subject line, by November 30, 2001. At the top of you submission, provide your name, date of birth, mailing address, e-mail address and day telephone number. Entrants between 13 and 18 years of age must include the name and e-mail address of their parent/legal guardian. Include only one story per submission.
3. JUDGING: Judging will be conducted by a panel of selected employees of Operation Bass, Inc. Entries will be judged equally on the basis of 1) creativity, 2) adherence to theme, and 3) grammar.
4. GENERAL: Winners will be notified by e-mail on or about December 17, 2001. Winning submissions will be published on OperationBass.com beginning on or about December 17, 2001. Entries are accepted on the condition that they are the entrant’s own original work, are the sole property of the entrant, and have not been accepted for publication elsewhere. By participating, entrants [a] agree to these rules and decisions of sponsor and judges which shall be final in all respects relating to this contest; [b] indemnify and hold harmless sponsor, its respective officers, directors, affiliates, subsidiaries or agencies from any liability, injuries, losses, damages, rights, claims and actions of any arising out of their participation and acceptance and use of prize including, without limitation, personal injury, and claims based on publicity rights, copyright, trademark, defamation or invasion of privacy; [c] grant the sponsor all rights of ownership, reproduction and use of entries for any purpose whatsoever without compensation (unless prohibited by law). Sponsor is not responsible for late, lost, incomplete, stolen, or misdirected entries; computer or electronic malfunction caused by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in this contest, or by any human error which may occur in the processing of entries. Nor correspondence about entries will be entered into nor will entries be acknowledged or returned. No prize transfer. No prize substitution except by sponsor due to unavailability. One prize per person.
