Dan writes:
I had planned to fish some this morning while Annie took down the tent and packed up the campsite. Last night was our coldest yet though, and it was about twenty-five degrees this morning. Forget it. Let’s just get out of here.
Annie writes:
Dan did not go fishing today. The fishing is tough, it’s very cold, and very frustrating. Instead we spent a good part of the day packing up our campsite, and by mid-afternoon we were on the road, headed towards Birmingham, Alabama. We made it most of the way but by 1am were exhausted and ended up pulling into a Wal-Mart to get a few hours sleep in the truck. It was extremely cold, and I slept with my winter hat and gloves on.
