Testing continues this week on FLW Outdoors’ latest technological innovation – FLW Live™. This Web-based program that allows people to follow tournament weigh-ins in real time will be operational June 18-21 during Wal-Mart FLW Tour weigh-ins at the Forrest Wood Open being held in Florence, Ala.
The first weigh-in of the four-day tournament at Wheeler Lake begins Wednesday between 4 and 4:20 p.m. Eastern time with Thursday’s weigh-in scheduled for the same time. On Friday the weigh-in begins between 6 and 6:20 p.m. FLW Live will be operational at exactly 4 p.m. Eastern time Saturday, though the actual weighing of fish may not begin until shortly after 4 p.m.
FLW Outdoors has made some improvements to the FLW Live system since its test-phase debut in May, and advancements are ongoing. Feedback from users is especially helpful during tests like the one being conducted this week.
The only requirement for running FLW Live on a computer is the program Flash Player 6. For those who don’t have this program, it can be downloaded for free from the FLW Live launch site, located in the right-hand navigation bar of the FLW Tour page within FLWOutdoors.com.
