OSHKOSH, Wis. – Ranger Boats powered by Evinrude Motors will present a free children’s fishing clinic in conjunction with the “On the Water” demonstrations at Oshkosh, Wis., on July 11.

Menominne Park/Millers Bay, located at the end of East Irving Ave in Oshksoh, Wis., will be the setting on Sunday, July 11th of the Children’s Fishing Clinic, scheduled to take place from 11 a.m. to noon. Children will have the opportunity to visit Children enjoy interacting directly with professional anglers.first hand with several Evinrude and Ranger professional anglers. Anglers will demonstrate different fishing techniques as well as discuss what type of lures and baits they use when fishing Lake Winnebago. Parents are encouraged to bring along a camera to take photos of their child/children with the professional anglers and their boat and motor packages. Autographs also will be available.

Children learn hands-on fishing techniques from the pros.Starting at 11 a.m. and continuing to 2 p.m., participants will have an opportunity to test the Ranger boats powered by Evinrude motors on the open water. Children under the age of 16 are required to have a parent with them when test driving a boat. Representatives from both companies will be available to answer questions the general public may have in regards to the Evinrude and Ranger products. Participants may register for door prizes until 2 p.m. when the demonstrations conclude. All prizes will be awarded at the final RCL League Tournament weigh-in held at the Wal-Mart store located at 351 S. Washburn St., in Oshkosh beginning at 3 p.m.

Participants go out for a test drive.Anglers will take off from Menominee Park/Miller’s Bay at 7 a.m. both days of the July 10-11 tournament. Saturday’s weigh-in will also be held at the same location at 3 p.m. However, Sunday’s weigh-in will be held at the Wal-Mart store located at 351 S. Washburn St. in Oshkosh beginning at 3 p.m. The community is encouraged to attend daily takeoffs and weigh-ins.
