Richland Chambers Reservoir near Corsicana, Texas, is one of those feast or famine impoundments.
Based on his experience at the popular East Texas Reservoir, Wal-Mart TTT pro David Truax of Beaumont is betting that the angler who cashes the biggest check in the upcoming TTT event will be the one who finds concentrations of heavyweights bunched up around shallow hydrilla beds in 2 to 6 feet of water.
“RC can be a tough lake,” Truax said. “Either you’re on em’ or you’re not. It is going to be an interesting tournament now that some grass is back in the lake.”
Truax’s call: 12-13 pounds to make the cut; 36 pounds to win.
