FLW Outdoors has announced that registration for the upcoming 2006 FLW Series will be open to FLW Tour co-anglers and Bassmaster Tour co-anglers from the 2005 season starting Friday, Oct. 28. Once priority registration is completed for co-anglers of the FLW and Bassmaster tours, FLW Outdoors will open registration to additional co-anglers.
Co-anglers who fished the FLW Tour and Bassmaster Tour in 2005 may register beginning at 8 a.m. Oct. 28 followed by Ranger owners Nov. 1, Stratos and Champion owners Nov. 2, and all other co-anglers Nov. 3.
Co-angler entries will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis for anglers who enter all five FLW Series events. Co-anglers can register via phone by calling (270) 252-1000 or by going online at flwoutdoors.com.
Deposits are $150 per tournament for co-anglers. Entry fees are $650 for co-anglers.
Wal-Mart FLW Series news and notes
Every tournament will feature an accumulated-weight format, with co-anglers fishing the first three days and the top 10 pros (who survived the full field of 200) competing on day four. The winner of the Co-angler Division will be awarded to the co-angler who has the most accumulated weight after day three. Every tournament will have a 12-day off-limits period prior to practice days. The total cash purse for the 2006 FLW Series will come in at $4.5 million – $900,000 for each of the five events. The top 30 pros and top 25 co-anglers at the end of the season will then advance to the $2 million 2007 Forrest Wood Cup.

Noteworthy registration and participation guidelines
* One hundred entries have been reserved for FLW tour co-anglers who competed on the tour in 2005, and an additional 100 entries have been reserved for Bassmaster Tour co-anglers who competed on the tour in 2005. These entries will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.
* Deposits for the 2006 FLW Series season may be made by phone or on the Internet; walk-in entries will not be accepted. Each qualifying tournament will be limited to 400 contestants (200 boats maximum).
