At the season-opening Wal-Mart FLW Tour event in Clewiston, Fla., FLW Outdoors was pleased to welcome PBS reporter Jeff Yastine and the “Nightly Business Report” crew. The highly regarded news program was in Clewiston to work on a three-part series highlighting the growing sport of bass fishing titled “The Reel Deal.”

While these segments aired live on PBS Feb. 14, 15 and 16, FLWOutdoors.com has archived these segments for additional viewing opportunities. Starting immediately, visitors to FLWOutdoors.com can view the three-part series.

The first segment focuses on the current state of bass fishing and its transformation from a longtime leisure sport into a spectator sport that is attracting big crowds and big money. The second segment details how bass fishing’s popularity is luring the marketing dollars of some of America’s largest companies. Lastly, the third segment looks at how fishing tournaments can bring big bucks to small towns and where the future of the sport is headed.
