Image for Attention Wal-Mart BFL anglers:
Bass Fishing League

As many FLW Outdoors anglers already know, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has initiated a long-term drawdown of Lake Cumberland that will render many of the lake’s launch ramps unusable. The drawdown is in response to Corps and independent studies that have classified the Cumberland dam as being at “high risk” for structural failure. The Nashville District of the Corps will maintain the lake at 680 feet – 10 feet below winter pool level – until re-evaluated in September or October.

The drawdown will not affect the first Wal-Mart Bass Fishing League Mountain Division event, scheduled for March 3 out of the marina at Conley Bottom Resort, however, as the ramp at Conley Bottom Resort on Lake Cumberland will be extended in time for the tournament. BFL anglers may call tournament director Dave Maxfield with questions or concerns at (270) 252-1587. Anglers also can contact Conley Bottom Resort at (606) 348-6351.
