Due to recent U.S. Coast Guard closures, Saturday’s Bass Fishing League tournament on Kentucky and Barkley lakes has been rescheduled. The LBL Division event has been moved from May 8 to June 19. Takeoff and weigh-in locations will be announced soon.

Late Tuesday the U.S. Coast Guard closed more than 200 miles of the Tennessee River and more than 300 miles of the Cumberland River to recreational boating traffic because of high water levels and excessive river drift. The closures include Kentucky and Barkley lakes.

FLW Outdoors is in contact with the U.S. Coast Guard Ohio Valley Sector office and has posted an update on the American Fishing Series Central tournament scheduled for May 13-15, which will be held but with restrictions on open water.

Please call or e-mail tournament director Robert Vannerson if you have any questions or concerns: (270) 252-1586 or [email protected].
